DSCN1949.jpg

We took a little free boat ride from Pier 11, just below the South Street Seaport to the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn. Our destination was a huge IKEA store (they supplied the boat). We actually went twice, since the trip was quite pleasant; The first time to look around and buy some small items, most especially an inexpensive salad green spinner/dryer. The second time we took a hand truck which we had bought earlier to make our move from Gay Street to Jones Street.

Over here it used to be sth like that, I mean in Madrid, don't know anymore as I don't shop much. Talking of which the salad spinner/dryer I have it, from "los chinos" the cheap Chinese shops, they are plentiful here, I love this thing because I eat quite a lot of salads, it's very handy.

Amazed at the unique opportunities in NYC. I would have never dreamnt of a free boat ride to an IKEA store. Keep these amazing tidbits coming. It makes me miss the place more & more.
