Non-stop Bird Photography | profile | all galleries >> WESTERN PALEARCTIC (WP) REGION >> Bird trip to Kuwait (January 2011) | tree view | thumbnails | slideshow |
I spent a week birding and photographing in Kuwait between 30 December 2010 and 7 January 2011. The main aim of this short trip was to focus on some resident or wintering bird species which are difficult (or impossible) to see elsewhere in the Western Palearctic region. Because Kuwait presently lies at the south-eastern edge of the WP, it also offers good chances to observe and photograph vagrant species, as was the case during this trip with Ashy Drongo (two at Jhara Farms this winter) and Arabian Golden Sparrow (one male at Al Abraq present since November 2010). This gallery has 142 images depicting 30 species. |
