A very nice rail gallery!
Excellent collection of yesterdays vehicles. Rgds norbi
Nicely done, special gallery. Reminds me of the Steam Engines that I grew up seeing in the Midwest.

A gallery of im pressive machine! However, I do find some of the picture familar but I can't recall where did I ever see it.
Well done in the first instance to the volunteers who give up their spare time to restore this type of long forgotten memorabilia, for the pleasure of others, and photographers.
Great photos, wish I could be there. Trouble is, there is a big pond between me and those trains.
Great gallery. For someone who is not a train buff, your pictures make a convincing argument.
Some class shots here, and some bloody lovely engines.. unsure if this is the same gallery, but i really liked the shots of Green Arrow.. nice to see her up close, as I've yet to. I really must drag the missus down to this part of the world!! Also some great shots of BR Stds.. Like the shots of Stepney - we had Terriers on my local line (the Weston Clevedon Portishead line), but I'm 30yrs too young to have seen them working :)
Keep up the good work (and nice one re: getting a shot in the calendar)

Thanks for the kind words Chris. Well, if you plan on visiting the Bluebell Railway you won't get a better opportunity than this weekend 25/26 October 2003 because they have a special "Giants of Steam" event on.
Superb set of images! I wanna go!! I love steam and I don;t live all that far from the Bluebell Line, so I must get there soon. Great shooting, Dave! Kind regards, Chris. (P.S. I enjoyed the English Gardens folder, too. See my portfolio for a further selection.)
Absolutely brilliant set of photographs.
