My name is Wilma Parsons, and I have been doing a lot of research on the Maxwell family, I was going through the death records of McCreary Co. KY and found a death certificate for Rose Anna Boyatt-McPherson, she was the daughter of David Boyatt and Becky Jane Watson, she was born in 1894 and was 42 yrs. old when she was murdered. She died on March 15, 1935

@ Jonas Boyd - My names is Lisa Bowman > Dorothy Boyd > Herbert Kinnaird Boyd > James Granville Boyd > James Henderson Boyd-Boyatt-Boiatt. I'd love to speak with you about the family. Contact me at LBowman0022@kctcs.edu.

Also, if anyone has contact information for Mrs. Vera Ross Boyatt or knows where/how I may go about purchasing a copy of her Boyatt research please post the information or contact me at the above email. Thanks in advance.

I am trying to find out how my name changed to Boyd. Henderson Boyatt served in the Civil War with three of his brothers, and his enlistment name is still Boyatt. I know it occurred with Henderson Boyatt, but I saw in someones note on here that he disappeared in 1856? As in ran away, foul play, or just no documentation of him after that? Or do we know any more details? The pension says he died in 1869 and the pension wasn't filed by his widow until 1896 and the Justice wrote Boyd as his and her name. If anyone has any information on this I'd be greatly appreciative of it. My father is Donald C. Boyd, Jr.-->Donald C. Boyd, Sr.-->James Alfred Boyd-->James Granville Boyd-->Henderson Boyd (Boyatt)
Anita Boyatt Telesz 24-Feb-2011 18:06
My name is Anita Boyatt Telesz; I am the daughter of Dillard Brown Boyatt, son of Carley Boyatt, who was the son of George Newton Boyatt, who was the son of Jordan Boyatt. My father goes to Kentucky several times a year, but he specifically makes the trip once a year to Big South Fork to clean the grave of Ransom Boyatt. He is going to 80 years old this year, but makes the hike and never complains! He would love communication with his relatives!

I am the daughter of Bonnie Boyatt Chambers and granddaughter of Ransom (no e one the end of his name) Boyatt. There a several errors in the account of this family. First of all, Albert Boyatt is not a brother in this family. Plez Boyatt was a brother - not Pleasant Boyatt. Delmay was Delmy, who died as a child. Dulcie was the deaf daughter who died in Columbus, Ohio. Lola Boyatt was indeed married to Ted Boyatt who was not a brother to this family except by marriage to Lola. I would like to see these corrections made.
Thank you

Went to the Old Ransome Boyatt house site today and saw the graveyard where he was buried. Great hike to a pleasant place.

It is erronus to report our Jordon Boyatt as a memeber of the Martain Betty party of Long Hunters. Granted, he WAS a Long Hunter, meaning hunters who were absent from home for long periods...yet the Betty party is well documented. No where in those listing of the party is the name Jordon Boyatt (or any other spelling) to be found.
Ive worked on this for years, as many of us have, and this is an assumption based on family information, which is erronous in placeing him with the Betty party.
In my own opinion, and based on the earliest census available that he had his own "stand" or hunting camp which he returned to regularly, thus making him "head of household" as used in census language.
