Wow! Such memories. I've been in that cottage many times. Brian & me were good friends at school.

This is where DAVID and BRIAN SOPP lived, with their Mum, MONA, and Dad, CHARLIE SOPP. Brian was born here 60 years ago, in September, 1946. Both brothers were married from this cottage: in 1968 (David,) and 1971, (Brian.) Now both live in Kingsclere, just a couple of miles away.
Much has been done to alter the appearance of the cottage now it is privately owned,(previously it belonged to the Kingsmill Estate -) although you now cannot see it for the high hedges which grow up by the roadside.
The cottage was never know as Sopp's Cottage when the Sopp family lived there - it was purely BROCKS GREEN..... This is quite a tribute to the family, and we hope that the name will continue to be used......
