Hi, Don't be surprised if this isn't a spring robin..I've lived in Maine my whole life and for the first time I have seen a wintering robin in our back yard. I thought he was lost or crazy, untill I looked up robins on line..I found out I didn't know as much about robins as I thought I did..There are northern robins that will come down from some place colder and winter here..hes been feeding off our apples trees..I hope they last till spring, we have had temps down to 20 and 30 below quite a few times this year so far and hes still hanging in there. I see him everyday and say a little prayer..they say they winter in flocks and can also be seen with cedar waxwings, but he seems to be all alone....I can't get through the snow out back to get a decent picture, but trust me hes there....great photo by the way..
