We had one of those Saturdays at home I used to only read about. Peaceful, relaxing and a fun at home all day, with no pressure to be anywhere or do anything in particular. Sure, we ran to the store and did a few errands but for the most part we were home.

As the sun began to set I asked if we could go for a quick walk in what I thought would be great light. Grabbing the long lens and the flash we headed out. Twice before, when I have NOT had the camera we’ve encountered a Coopers hawk in the neighborhood. Today I wanted to see if I could spot him. We wandered at random and as we walked past the local elementary school I stopped to snap this image of the trees in silhouette. As I lowered my camera, sure enough, out of the sun came that very hawk right past us and down into areas I could not follow…

Seems I’ll have an ongoing hunt around here… LOL
