After work I had to drive up to Butler to accompany my mother to my cousin’s funeral viewing. On the way I wanted to find a moment of peace and fresh air and also to get a shot of something.
As I walked slowly along a pond, I heard brush snap close to me. I’m beginning to get a bit faster at getting my lens up and snapping away. I was able to focus and compose a series of shots of this deer tearing off through the brush.
For those of you not from around here, this is a white-tailed deer, Odocoileus virginianus, so named for obvious reasons.
