This is a semi aquatic rodent know as a Muskrat, Ondatra zibethicus. I see these quite often and even managed to shoot one swimming under the ice this past winter. Though I’ve seen these little furry little guys all over the place, including swimming downtown Pittsburgh by the “Point,” (that’s where our three main rivers meet) I rarely get good shots of them.
