Around 40 years ago, before digital photography or Photoshop were around, I used to photograph weddings. I shot my first wedding in 1982 and my last in 1992. Over that time I probably did between 150-200 ceremonies. All were photographed using medium format 6x7 film cameras. This gallery shows a small sample of the style of wedding photography that I did. Quite different from the photojournalistic style of most of today's wedding photography, but it was what most couples wanted. Also unlike today's wedding shooters who expose thousands of frames hoping to get quality from quantity(imho), I probably never exposed more than 400 frames during any single ceremony. All of these images are from album prints so the quality is not the best. Other than a few which
were obviously darkened in the darkroom, no retouching was done to the photos. So for being shot with manual focus, manual exposure, and no motor drive they're not too bad. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the images from an early part of my photography career.

I also shot weddings on film during this time and used a Hasselblad 6 X 6 camera. times were different back then only shooting 300-400 images in a full day wedding. Excellent work.....braVo Mike
So beautiful! I like all of these pictures because the lighting really conveys the mood of all of the images. However, they are timeless and don't have some goofy style that other people choose for their pictures. I am getting married in a few months and we haven't really settled down on a specific location, but we are thinking of a few.http://www.elmcrestbanquets.com/FAQs.html
