A wide angle lens captures the alternating bands of iron-rich and iron-poor rocks along the Bristlecone Trail.
The bowl-shaped slopes are testiment to the on-going process of erosion which created the park.
On clear days looking to the south on the horizon, you can see the Kaibab Plateau on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (top left).
