Thanks for your kind comment Denis. I struggle to identify many of the insects and spiders that I photograph, but I notice that you don't have that problem! Nice to see some insects we don't have here.

Hey Denny: What excellent photography! Now I'm getting an idea of what you've been doing with your retirement! You've got to be proud of this site.

Hello Dennis, fine work on your site continues - I see! It has been a little while since my last visit and I have to say I'm impressed. I really like the expanding educational aspects and layouts. Of course, your knowledge of the subject matter and photography is outstanding. I continue to be envious of your ability to capture those species that continue to elude me! Keep it up my friend!

Hi Dennis. Happy New Years to you and thanks for your kind comments. My bird photos cant compare to yours, which are real photos of the birds in their natural environment. I am doing things the lazy mans way, photographing them through my kitchen window as they gather around the bird feeder in winter. Interesting how the woodpeckers favorite food is cat food, it ignores the bird seed. Yes we got lots of snow and cold wather in NJ this this winter! My best to you and your family.

Awsome pitcures! You have a great eye for detail. I look forward to using your sight for refrence on a regular basis. I was looking for pictures of the Anhanga's I have in my lake in Franklin GA.

Dennis...I've enjoyed visiting your galleries and especially your birds...I'm fairly new to pBase and still trying to find the right 'look' I want to present. I liked the way that all your bird galleries were listed at th top and 'clickable'...How do I find that feature on the pBase site? Below is a link to my ruby-crowned kinglet...was lucky last weekend to get it...thanks in advance for your reply...joe messina

Hey Dennis.. Glad you liked my moon shot. Yes, I did use a tripod. Even with the tripod and shutter cable release there was still a little movement from the wind. I should have hung a sandbag off the tripod as well.

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for visiting my galleries and for all the nice comments you made there. I only decided to create a a pBase gallery after following links from your images in the Canon forums back in 2006. It started with the great shots you took of a Sanderling on some "great looking beach rocks" and went on from there with other terrific images that you took with your 100-400. You were very helpful with suggestions regarding setting up my pBase account and were my first "Favorite Artist" so thanks for all the help in that regard and thanks for continuing to inspire me to improve my own images.

Thank you for the nice comment in my gallery! It is great to see another nature photographer from SoCal in action. Nice work and dedication. Enjoyed the Native Plants of San Diego and Salton Sea galleries. Looks like I need to get out that way. Keep adding…

hey dennis, it's Edde. Simply wonderful. you really capture the beauty of the animals. Their struggles, their emotion and their fragility. I really aspire to achieve those attributes in my own work. You're an inspiration. Thanks

Great gallery Dennis. Your bird collection is simply awesome. Thanks for visiting my site. About the spider, I only noticed its presence when I was doing the pp.

Dennis,
I cannot thank you enough for having photographs. I have been trying to determine what these new birds are that are making such a mess building their nests. Somehow I landed in your site and was able to determine they are house finches. Now I can learn about them. My hooded orioles are back as well. I noticed the roadrunner last month. San Diego has some wonderful birds. I wonder how many people actually notice them. Thanks!
