2 Indigo Buntings at our bird feeder in Corpus Christi, TX. Nice blessing after a horrible year. They have been coming around for about a week--male and female.

2012 April 10 was my first sighting of an Indigo Bunting at my home in Crosby, Harris County, Texas - 4 of them stayed about two days. This year, April 21-28, 2013, we have had three males and one female at all of my feeders and bird baths. Joining them on April 25-26, were a pair of male Rose-Breasted Grosbeaks--awesome birds. First I had ever seen--stayed two days. Ruby Throat Hummingbirds were late this season, solo males first and then recently two males and one female. We will have about 30-50 here later. First pair of white throat sparrows seen this year, plus normal supply of Blue Jays, Cardinals, White Wing Dove, Eranus Ringneck Doves, Mourning and Inca Doves, and three Brown Trashers, and odd assortment of wood peckers and sparrows. Great birding year here in southeast Texas. Great bird photos on your web pages.

I have been observing migrating birds at Ft Desoto Park in Pinellas County, Florida this week and have seen many males and females passing through. Beautiful birds to see and a joy to watch.

I am in Pensacola Florida and at this very moment I have 11 indigo buntings at my feeders.I have never seen them before,but oh what a delight they are. hope they stay around for a while but beautiful things are usually very fleeting.

I live in western PA and saw my first Indigo Bunting yesterday. Absolutely beautiful! It was feeding alongside gold finches and cardinals . . . what a display of color. This is the first time I have ever seen one and hope that they come back day after day. I am very conscientious about filling my feeders and this just made me realize how important that is.

This is the bird that has been eating thistle alongside our many goldfinches today. I was amazed to see it, as here in Kermit, Texas (Winkler Co) we are super dry and have had many wildfires in the area recently. It must be in real need of food & water to be this far into this semi-arid climate, especially with the current drought conditions - poor baby is welcome to all it can get a beak around!

We had one of these sweet birds at the feeder today. Did not seem shy, ate with all the other birds, left and came back 4-5 times. Never seen them around before, I hope they stay in the neighborhood (South Arlington, TX) !!

alba tx on the south end of lake fork in our yard at the feeders a flock of at least 5o of these indigo buntings! we were amazed! they stayed and fed from the 1st part of april til about a week ago. we are also thrilled to have 2 pair of painted buntings that seem to have stayed to nest.

I saw one of these in my backyard yesterday, April 24, 2010 around 11:00am. It was beautiful and I have never seen one before. It was a much brighter blue that a bluejay, nearly torquoise and I could not see any markings on it, but it was behind some scruby weeds so I could not see it's back, just a side veiw and I saw it had a yellow beak. It was smaller than a bluejay also. I live about 1/4 of a mile from a bayou and about 50 miles from Galveston, here in Houston, TX.

I saw one of these in our backyard this morning 4/22/2010. I had never seen one before. Its color was a very vivid blue. There was only one, but I hope he comes around again. I live in Rusk, Texas.

this week we started to see an Indigo Bunting in the back yard at the feeded. today there were three of the indigo collor and one gold brown one. this is the first time in 5 years here that we have seen them. Magnolia north of houston and The Woodlands

My husband and I were sitting in the front yard here in Algoa, Texas. Low and behold a whole flock of about 9 Indigo Bunting showed up to eat the bird seed from the feeders, and the ground. These are beautiful birds very much like the pictures posted with a couple of them being brown like some of the pictures.

We live 8 miles east of Waco, Tx. We feed the birds all the time. This is the first time we have seen this indigo bunting. We saw 3 in our yard just today. A georgous little bird. Beautiful blue.
