_MG_1750-web.jpg
It seems that this little bird in its rush to migrate south over-flew the coast and found itself over the Gulf of Mexico after a fall cold-front. When the bird was spotted it was frantically feeding in the rocks of the Quintana Jetty (quite an odd place to be for a Sedge Wren). My guess is that the first land this bird encountered after what was probably a tough flight was the jetty and it certainly appears that the bird was more worried about eating than it was about being harmed by me. I was able to observe the bird at length as it scurried around between the rocks, picking through the debris in its search for something good to eat.
