I found this Brown-crested Flycatcher yesterday while exploring Victoria County near the town of McFaddin. I had initially detected a couple of singing green Painted Buntings and didn’t notice this guy at all until he gave his distinctive call. Even after I heard him it took a few minutes to locate where exactly he was even though he was sitting right out in the open. It’s amazing how easy they are to overlook!
