This Rufous Hornero was an interesting bird that we saw MANY of around the Pantanal. It gets its name hornero which is Spanish for baker because it makes a large clay nest that resembles a clay oven. They were great at getting our attention as they frequently make a very loud call. Most of the time we saw them walking around on the ground hunting for insects like this one was doing at the time of the photo.
