Here is one of MANY Amazon Kingfishers that we came across while exploring the Cuiaba River in the Pantanal. They are so much more tolerant than the typical Belted Kingfishers that I encounter during the winter in the Houston area. This female seemed like she just couldn’t be bothered by our presence.
