The Squirrel Cuckoo is a bird that I both love and hate. I love its long tail, interesting vocalizations and how it moves through the trees like a squirrel but I hate that it can so often be a totally frustrating bird to photography. This one gave us a nice fly-by on our trip to Costa Rica this past March. I’m looking forward to seeing more of them this October when we return.
