Pipilo chlorurus

Here is a Green-tailed Towhee from last month’s trip to west Texas. This one was photographed on our way home and I thought the light would be too harsh as it was getting late in the morning and the sun was pretty high. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it on the computer screen when I got home.
