I spent a day (minus driving time) at the National Automobile Museum in Reno. It used to be the Harrah Collection and at one time housed 1500 vehicles, including shops for total restoration. One building just housed Ferraris. After Bill Harrah died, the corporation was sold and all but about 175 of the cars were auctioned off, some of them multi-million properties in today's market. The current collection includes cars owned by the museum as well as ones loaned to the museum by private owners. Even though it just represents a fraction of the original, it's still amazing.
