Paul replaced me as Senior Aidman for Bravo Co. and then as the Recon medic. We spent a lot of time together and he was a good friend and an outstanding medic and brave soldier. I took this photo when he came by to say goodbye just before I left for home.

Paul was badly wounded in an ambush and evacuated a few months after I came home.
