I'm usng the entire patch panel here. with all the rot and sloppy repairs an entire panel just barely covers everything. Notice the sheetmetal screws used in conjunction with the backing plates in the previous photo. Oddly enough, the patch panel is thicker than the original sheetmetal so I may look into reversing the backing plates to the outside to get the surfaces flush.
