DAY 37 (2 hours)

When I got the truck both the brake and clutch pedals rubbed on the floorboard holes and I wanted to make sure that wasn't the case after I replaced the floors and toe boards. A quick assembly of the arms and rods showed that the rods did not go through the center of the holes and slightly rubbed at the extreme throw of the pedal.

I clamped the rods in the vise, heated the pedal rods with an acetylene torch until about 1-inch of the rod was glowing red and then I made the slight adjustments by bending the rods. I measured the amount I was bending by putting one end of the ruler against a fixed point and a marked point on the pedal.
