Dear Curt, Just read of your mother's passing in the Reading Eagle. Please know that you will be in my thoughts.

On another note, your pictures are stunningly beautiful!
Take care,

Great photos - love that you include ferns and fungi. I have been trying to ID an early summer wildflower found in Cumberland County, PA. I can't find it in Newcombs or Petersons guides. I have a photo. The spike of flowers are irregular like an orchid. Very downy all over with lance-like leaves up the stem. No basal leaves. Flower is ivory with orange/purple veins inside flower and about 1/2 to 3/4 in long. Corolla is hollow with veins and lip extends from it. I can send photo if you want to help ID it. Thanks, MBM

Curt, your pictures are lovely. I'll be in your area (at the Gail Dupont Guesthouse in Coudersport) this coming week. Do you have a studio or local gallery? I'd love to visit!

Thank you.

I was brought up on a farm in Chester County and this is indeed wonderful to see my old friends so beautifully photographed. Congratulations to you for sharing them. As an octogenarian things have changed drastically since the thirties and anything you can do to protect these lovely and sometimes homely plants is a major plus. Keep up the good work. B. Bingham

i realy enjoy your work ....but i find your picture of the amish famlies at the waterfalls in very bad taste and think you used very poor judgement in taking there picture . i thought it was common knowledge they don't believe in having there pic . taken .

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photographs of Potter County. I grew up near Coudersport and moved to North Carolina after college. I miss the beauty of my birthplace and your pictures nearly move me to tears. I love flipping through your galleries--especially the scenic ones--and am always moved by the way you have captured the quiet glory of God's Country!

Just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed all of your galleries. I grew up in western PA - before moving to Texas in 1981 - and spent a lot of time up around Kinzua and Potter County. In fact, I have a few pictures from that area posted on PBase. I went to visit a few years ago and was thrilled to see it was still mostly unspoiled. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing photos. Can see my in-laws spent very little time at the Pa Grand Canyon to have the opinion that it was not very impressive. Will have to plan a trip to do some shooting. Enjoyed the photos from out west also
