The outside of this church at an abandoned monastery in St Norbert, Manitoba was partially restored and strengthened after a fire in the 1980s. The Trappist monks had already moved to Holland, Manitoba because St. Norbert, very close to Winnipeg had become to worldly. The monastery was established in 1898. In summer Shakespearean plays are performed in the roofless church.
