The rose was selected, copied and pasted on the base photo three times. A copy layer of the photo was placed between the base photo and the rose copies. The silver gradient filter (found under metals) was used on the copy of the base photo. A copper gradient filter was used on one rose, a silver gradient filter on the second rose and the third rose was left as it was. The copper rose was on top and the blending mode was changed to overlay. The silver rose was the second layer from the top and the blending mode was set to luminosity. The original rose was the third layer and the blending mode was left as normal. The next layer was the black and white background and its blending mode was also left as normal so the base layer (original photo) would not be visible.
