At first look I thought it was an ornimental frog made of glass. Good one. :-) Carrhighlander

It sort of looks like it's giving us the middle finger:-)

Reading thru the other comments, I just add, excellent and almost looks like you had a frog on ice. Greaaaaaat !

Thanks all! I took this outside Rod, front lit by the sun, but I was holding up the container with my left hand and there was a light background behind the container. It's not easy trying to take a picture with one hand, especially with that big macro lens! :-) CJ

What a great find & you did really well with this picy with what looks like strong backlight. Did you use the flash? It came out really well, goodun Carole. Just so the floodgaters don't start posting hand & eye shots because this one is called on topic, It's on topic because the body here being the brightest part of the frog I would consider to be the main focal point over the hand or isit a paw! alright we best just call it a foot:-) The eyes are very secondary. So this is a part body picy, & a bleeding good one:-)

Thanks Claire, Mary Anne and Bill! This is one of about 5 frogs collected by a visiting little boy. I put them in a see-through plastic container with a lid on it so the little buggers wouldn't get away, and took a few shots of them crawling around the container before they were taken home for the mother to deal with! :-) CJ

I love this right down to the speckles in the eyes. The strong partial wash out of the background completes the comp. Bill W

What a cool shot, CJ! At first, I thought it was made of glass, but I think I've figured out that it's sitting on a (rather wet) pane of glass. Am I right?

So let me guess CJ, You just hung around under some ice till the frog came along? Great shot - how did you get it?...claire
