I don't know about a UFO but, at second glance, it does look dangerous.
And I think tv was just adding the manly text description to the manly image you have created here.

I dunno about "good". That seems too blah a description for this image. Besides I wanted to impress Mikey with some "wordsmithing" so I just said whatever came to mind. That something did is a reflection of the image's quality and that I haven't succumbed to dementia yet. I'm much encouraged. Thank you for the stimulus. -tv

B&W rainbows and you still made them look good.
ctfchallenge09-Feb-2008 12:18
this is beautiful ...and I could swear it says "Rod" under the picy! Glad you joined us in the end. Another one for me to try out one day! Having seen all the colourful versions of CDs through the galleries I would never have thought of b&w so thank you for the inspiration...claire

""electromechanical devices of the space generation. Cryptic visual connotations well realized""
Tommy, does that mean I did good:-)hehe
Rod 09-Feb-2008 07:05
:-)Thanks all:-) Yes Penny I'm cooking tonight (see under Tommy's picy why:-) A nude would turn this into a piece of ahrt wouldn't it Kiki..........................Mereana........MEREANA:-)

Great B&W as always. I used a b/w conversion to tweak luminosity in the most colorful of my own versions btw. Gotta try multiple DVDs today. This take on it reminds me of Marcel Duchamp's "Nude Descending A Staircase".. 'cept that it's mirrored.. and there's no nude hehe
A mature version anyway.

I see an update here of the "Modern Times" sensibility - electromechanical devices of the space generation. Cryptic visual connotations well realized ( I think, hehe). -tv

Impressive image of cryptic visual connotations well realized. (I think - Hehe.) Seriously, I get the sense of an updated "Modern Times" sensibility - mechanics of of the space generation. -tv

It looks like fan blades in motion. It certainly is a different take and I really like the results.

Hope no one was hurt with this "setup" photo :) Well done, mate.
ctfchallenge09-Feb-2008 04:12
Well I hope you had as much fun as Kiki!! (and did you use this as an excuse not to cook dinner?). I enjoy the contrast.

Not manly enough. I think it could use some raw beef and guns. - J.V.

You know, I happen to like this one best of all. Must be the man in me. :) It does, of course, need to have the top cropped off a wee bit so that the upper, long line lies directly on the upper line of thirds. ~ Lonnit
