Thanks much all :-) I shot this in the public greenhouse at Seattle's Volunteer Park. I'm not sure what variety cactus this is John- they must have over a hundred there and some are rare. AWB seemed to do the job with all the natural light coming in and for other settings I just bumped sharpness, contrast, and saturation up by one notch. I'm not sure if it helped, but I used the smallest size jpeg shooting thinking less size reduction required later in Photoshop might help keep it sharp. They frown at tripods in the greenhouse, so I used a "gorillapod" with two of the legs bent around to rest on my chest and keep the camera relatively steady- seems to help and doesn't hinder mobility much at all.
I also considered posting this one from the same session which is now in pending-

And you can check out "Standup Comic" in Exhibition too if you like :-)

Fun shot Brent, and a good one too! That macro lens produces nice, sharp images even without PP, well, if you have a good photographer like you to point it in the right direction! :-) CJ

Brent, I'm curious what your white balance setting was on and the lighting conditions for this lovely shot. - Kelly

For some reason I thought of jewelry when I saw this. Wouldn't want them near me though lol.
Nice colors, hint of complementary, and very nice patterns and sharpness. (Aching to ruin this in PP of course.)

Brent, growing up in AZ I thought I had see every kind of barrel cactus but I have never see any this particular color of blue-green. What kind are they? John

LOL!! Love the title and the photo! I am just loving the very natural colors we are seeing with the non-pp versions for these challenges. Great work, Brent.
