Holiday Brights

Washington Square Park, NYC

Rules: No blurring or fuzziness around objects, No bright spots or spots of light, No elements that compete for attention.
Comments: the colors of New York are worth the trip, even when viewed through a moving vehicle.
This photo works because the pattern of lights and colors are emphasized when shot through a camera that is slightly in motion. On this particular night it had also been raining (hence why we were in the car and not walking) and the wet streets have added the attractive element of the reflective lights and competing colors.

Thank you. Qualified. You are right - blurring the details puts the focus on the lights. ~ Lonnit

Penny, we need an explanation of why it works. Please explain then return it to the gallery. Thanks. ~ LOnnit
