Aster

Aster, the newest edition to our extended family, was adopted from Ethiopia.
Although she arrived with a few health problems, she is adapting to life in the U.S. quickly
and is picking up English rapidly from her 2 older "sisters".

Thanks Kiki - she's a doll and does seem to be very bright. That's always a concern when a child has been malnourished in the womb and early childhood, but she seems just fine! :-) CJ

Thanks Gerry, Rod, Tom and Debi! I almost NEVER do portraits but this was at Aster's third birthday party and I was forced to use the on-board flash as it was too dark. She is a very happy child and seems to be recovering well from the extreme malnutrition she suffered before she was given up for adoption. CJ

Perfect for the challenge. This makes good use of the opportunity to show more of a subject than can be conveyed in one shot. Very nice, flash or not. -tv

It's hard to judge picys in this silly dipthingy challenge but it looks like you tamed the flash really well here. Aster's really cute too, how old is she?
