Get well soon Y! And now I can finally see your nice mountain picture full size - good one! CJ
Rod 27-Jan-2007 05:02
Good onya Y & I hope you will feel a lot better soon:-) There's a post in the main thread with your picys in, you're quite welcome to use mine if you want as processing a shot when your not well is the last thing you want to be doing & I imagine Techo wouldn't mind you using his re work either.

Hi Friends, and thanks for helping me out Techo, Rod and all. I've been sick for a few days, and unable to do the computer. Please help me and Techo I like the changes, can I just load that? (or tell me how to do it.) You will all be glad (maybe) to know I am in a Photoshop class to learn how to dodge, unsharp and clone, sounds genetic doesn't it? Yvonne
Rod 27-Jan-2007 00:04
You have my permission Techo:-) But I'm sure Y wouldn't mind as the shot ends up fixed. Plus with you doing it we know it's in safe hands:-)
ctfchallenge26-Jan-2007 22:43
Moving it to Pending and back wouldn't work since the direct linking to the image and image id would stay the same. Best to reupload and copy and paste the comments and then delete this one. With permission I would have no trouble doing that.

As I had this picy on me HD to give it a work over I re uploaded to here & it still doesn't show up. Y may have to put this in pending & bring it back to here to make it a new posting, would that work?
ctfchallenge26-Jan-2007 19:34
The image isn't loading for me either. Lucky you can see it this wayhttp://www.pbase.com/ctfchallenge/image/73551085/original.*jpg* (remove *'s) till PBase wakes up :P or Yvonne tries to upload the shot and we'll see what happens next.

This is a shot that should make Ansel proud. Just need to reveal a bit more of the detail in the shadows, and apply a little extra contrast. Perhaps something like this?http://techoep.50webs.com/CTF/MtInTheMorning_by_Vonniedee.html
( will remove link before booth opens or till commanded to do so ;) )

This picture won't come up full size on my monitor either, just the thumbnail - broken link???? CJ
Rod 26-Jan-2007 11:58
Looks like your monitor has had it Aaammm:-)
aam1234 26-Jan-2007 10:08
I can't see the pic :(
Rod 26-Jan-2007 03:34
I think the foreground contributes by taking our eyes to where Y wants them to go:-)
ctfchallenge26-Jan-2007 03:31
The top half of the picture is awesome...feel the bottom half doesnt equally contribute. - RK

Nice one Yvonne, and you beat me to it. If been waiting to get a decent look at Mt. Rainier from Seattle for this challenge, but weather or the hours I could be out didn't cooperate. Rod might be on to something with the dodging if you only lighten the snows and go around the rocks.
Rod 26-Jan-2007 02:57
The dark foreground works great for me Y, & the B&W makes it look really good too. I would use the dodge tool to lighten up the snow on the mountain to keep the Mt the focal point & not the sky.
Great work megirl:-)

Very nice and like the sky/clouds - what Mt. is this? :)
