Sorry Aam,

Sometimes my humour-detector is overly weak from under-use.

David.

Yes excellent series indeed. This is wonderful work!
As mentioned by the veterans of this group: Yes, any camera, any time and any digital or scanned photo is allowed here.

Moti, it's more than OK to submit scanned film photos. As a matter of fact Rod does it all the time, and he has some excellent old photos. As David pointed out there is a wealth of film photos and I'm sure everybody loves to see them.

Btw, is that you Moti.

Dave, I was teasing you :)

Hi Everybody,
I found the way to add the camera/scanner details and you can see them now on this photo.
Effectively, this is a 30 yers old photo, taken with a film camera and scanned with a fillm scanner.
I must say that I was a bit surprized by the reactions. The challenge rules clearly state "Exhibition Gallery entries can use any camera and be taken at any time." As I undertand it, "Any camera" mean also a film camera. However, if this is not the case, please let me know and I will remove my entrie but then, maybe someone will have to update the rules.
Apart of that, thank you very much for the nice comments
Moti

Aam,

Don't ge tme wrong - I wasn't suggesting that scanned images shouldn't be included. I was just wondering how or if it's possible to show that it is scanned. By that I mean that normally we would include the detail of the camera used by selecting from the drop-down list when we've uploaded the photo. Is 'scanned image' (or something like that) available from that drop-down list? I was really just thinking out loud.

Given that film has been around very much longer than digital we could be exluding a wealth of great images if scans were not allowed so I'm not in any way suggesting that. In fact, lets see them! (A future challenge perhaps?)

David.

Dave, in Exhibition everything goes. Dates, cameras, medium don't matter at all. That's why we are allowing you to post your (great) pics here ;)

I agree - they're excellent and a nice series. The B&W works so well on these. But Moti, you'll need to add the date they were taken and camera details if you're not to lose them to the Pending gallery.

Actually these look like they are quite old images that have been scanned in. Does the challenge set-up allow participants to record the image as a scan rather than as being from a particular camera I wonder?

David.

What a brilliant series of shots! You are not merely exploring something with the camera, you are showing how this something is explored by the baby. -Gerald
