sorry , Rod, as it happens, snails do carry their houses on their back... but you might think, this interpretation is too wide... In German language this is called "Schneckenhaus" which means in English : Snail's house... But I must admit, that this interpretation was ment to be humorous... sorry, if this is not obvious for you...

Great imagination for the term "house" Barbara. I've eaten these before, but these are looking pretty ugly to me while sipping my morning coffee :-)
