Hey, you're the boss of this one, Sharon. If you say it's OK, that's good enough for me. LOL
CJ, I noticed those sandals too. What can I say...it's a poor neighborhood. I don't know if she was too happy about my taking her picture, but she smiled when I told her I loved the color of the store! Just some crazy lady with a camera.

I agree with you and CJ, Mary Anne, this is the more interesting of the two shots, the human interest really makes it! And, it does have some typography in it! It is certainly up to you but I would leave it here. ~Sharon
I like the cropping and the highling on the sign. Now, knowing how cold and blustery it was, I notice the woman has sandals on! I looked at your other picture and I like that one too but then the emphasis is on the sign for the market. They're both good but I think you're right about the look of this one being more interesting :-)
Thanks for your suggestions, folks. Here's a revised version. Sharon, I agree that the typography isn't so obvious here, but I just couldn't resist the colors and the angle of light. Here's a frontal version, but I think it lacks the feeling of the woman walking by and that grim-looking street. If you think this doesn't fulfill the topic, I'll be glad to replace it (and save it for another challenge--LOL).http://www.pbase.com/maryanne16/image/56498852 CJ, it wasn't early at all...just a little after noon...but the day was so cold and blustery that people were staying inside. That bag on the street is not just lying there--it's blowing across.

This must be really early - where is everyone? Nice slice of life picture with great color. I agree that the phone sign could be highlighted more and maybe crop a little off the left ide of the picture closer to that phone to draw attention to it in relation to the sign. Nice shot though :-) CJ

Yes a good shot & composition, maybe try & lighten the phone sign for this topic. Goodun Mary Anne
Great true life shot, Mary Anne! The colors are wonderful and I like the car on the horizon with its lights on. Not a lot of typography in it, though we could count the phone sign! Good work! ~Sharon
