I've been busy documenting a rather large antique sterling silver collection recently, and thought this closeup of a coffee urn would fit nicely with the challenge.
Hey everyone... thanks for all your positive feedback, tips and links. I will definitely check them all out, but I'm just not sure I'll have time before the challenge ends. Thanks again!

Lovely shot Tracy, maybe you need your white frames back again then nobody would notice the steam;-) Also well done on keeping the blown highlights out of the spout, as they seem so common on this sort of shot. Well done.
tracy, i like the simplicity of the photo. very nice contrast. as far as the the steam goes, you might be able to improve it by giving it a different path. maybe start with it rising first and then moving over to the left. of course since i haven´t tried it myself and have no idea what it would look like, it might be a silly suggestion but who knows! - atothev ...another thought, maybe some tonal value to the steam also.

Hi Tracy. Lovely shot, I think it would've also been a good minimalistic shot. I like the little touch of steam that you added. I think you should keep it, or you can try another PS brush. Deviantart.com has tons of PS brushes you can download, they should have the one you need.

Thanks Shu and Iso... and yup, you're 100% correct iso... I never was any good at putting paint to paper, or pen to tablet... think I should remove it? Tracy!
I like the composition of this a lot. Is that steam real? Looks a bit like a brush in PS. I hope I'm not being insulting! I'll gladly be proved wrong :)
