The pilars are built from the same materials and at the same time than the Eiffel Tower. This bridge is actually the nearest one the the tower.

Bee, For the b&w - I will leave both b&w and full colour version, because I think they have their own expression. As for the author's name, it's written, isn't it? I see it, when I browse.
