Concrete box culvert (*)

Southampton

Having done many miles and taken many photos of many bridges this week, from a 22 arch victorian railway bridge to a slab of concrete across a river for sheep, I have decided to share this one because I think it is an interesting photo of a very common and uninteresting bridge.

There are quite a few interesting bridges around here, but I think it's important to rate the photo not the architecture to put everyone on an even level, so here is "Concrete Box Culvert Under the M27 with Speed Limit Reduction".

P.S. Actually, the 22 arch one didn't come out very well.

SWW: I think you're right, I've made that change and I think it does look better in the squarer format. - Richard

That's an interesting one, Richard... and a lot of thought went into it, original idea...Bee

If you crop out some of the left side of this, putting the tunnel opening in the left third of the frame, I think the photo will be even better.

Nice work making an interesting photo from a mundane image. Strong composition, color, and well exposed.
