Everyone has thrown change in a wishing well, and I'm sure that although you told yourself it's a silly game, you still quietly made that wish... JUST INCASE

You've changed the photo! I was just showing this entry to Leela last night and today it's different. They're both beautifully captured and very imaginative and fit the challenge perfectly. If I may make a comment -- not a quibble or critique -- it's that there was some additional fascination with two coins sliding into the water together, and the single coin shows enough detail that you start trying to figure out what it is, rather than appreciating the universality of the gesture as you might with an anonymous coin. And perhaps this one should be renamed... you start wondering where the penny is. But back to the high note I started on, these are great. Well done... Don

Thanks for the suggestion Pops, I will go ahead and enter it. Gowan, I have used the 420 EX for just about every shot I have taken since I got it! It has definitely given me the ability to take so many shots that I never could before.
I attempted to shoot from as low of an angle as possible, and to capture the hand that dropped the coins, but the depth of the water, and size of the aquarium limited this angle. About the coins being stuck together, I have a shot where the coins went in seperate directions, and it is sharper, but I guess it was not as aesthetically pleasing to my eye. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.

Andreas, you should enter this picture in the cslr challenge exhibition gallery. Challenge 8 is "liquid" and this shot is perfect! Stunning Photograph. Are you trying for three in a row?

You sure are putting that 420EX to good use!

Oh too good! Fantastic capture....but could you make the topic for the next challenge a bit easier please?
We could not have a wish for 26c in Australia.....25c or 30c we could do, but we don't have 1c pieces anymore.

I think you captured the image well. (*) As a suggestion of how to improve the shot and capture what the text describes. I would suggest shooting the shot from the bottom looking up and capturing the hand or face of the person dropping the money. Just my 26 cents. theFly

Have you tried it with multiple coins not stuck to each other? It might be interesting to see more than one path through the water.

Haha, thanks for the comments guys. I edited the original image and removed a lot of dust specs. I also blurred the water and sharpened the coins. The blue comes from the slight bluish tint of the aquarium, and also the background I used, and the paper I placed under the aquarium. Any critical suggestions?
