Use lighting to accentuate the texture of your subject(s). Texture could be the subject of your photo, like a close in shot or be one of the main highlighs. Texture doesn't have to be something necessary rough it can be smooth and silky as well. Just make us see and imagine what it might feel like to touch what you're showing us.
