Syd Hoff

Succumbed to pneumonia on May 12, 2004, after ninety-one years on this planet, most of them spent drawing socially responsible cartoons or illustrations for his many childrens books.

Carol's site includes a link to the de Grummand Children's Literature Collection at the University of Southern Mississippi, where much of Hoff's personal papers are kept. 2012 marks the 100th birthday of his birth, and Carol has prepared a special tribute to him.
