We were excited to find three Sandhill Cranes (at a pretty long distance!) Third was out of frame left. near Sax-Zim Bog today.
Our first ever were last Sunday as we made our way through Wisconsin toward Minneapolis. Still working on IDs for a few other
birds we saw today, but the real "find" was a dead mammal atop a power pole. We think it was a Fisher. I'm not sure if I should
post the shot. It's an animal that has been there awhile. Poor thing.
