Pink Moccasin Flower or Pink Lady Slipper

I spotted these plants on a hike last year, but they had already flowered. This year,
I made it a point to go back and see them in bloom. Glad I did!

These are such an unusual flower. I used to see these on my hikes around the pond near my house when I lived in New England. Thanks for bringing that memory back!
