Plant a tree—in fact, plant as many as you can.

I read today that burning a gallon of gasoline produces about 19 lbs. of carbon
and that an average mature tree absorbs about 48 lbs. of carbon A YEAR.

So let's say you drive about 10,000 miles a year and get about 25 MPG.
That's 400 gallons of gas and 7,600 lbs. of carbon.

That means you would need about 158 mature trees to absorb your vehicle's yearly footprint.
Forests are good. To rephrase a common saying ... Know nature, know life. No nature, no life.
