I particularly like the rich variety of colors, especially on the ceiling and on the type holding rack to the right. There is a weighty density to this image that lends itself toward an almost tactile reality. (I presume that the is Chaotic enough to qualify, though it is a different kind of Chaos than Olaf's patterened form. If not, let me know){a further little quibble of mine...often I wish people would give at least some minor technical information, if possible, on what was done to the image. I think that people hesitate to do this because they are a little afraid to admit that the image has been helped alone a little, or a lot...So, to start off, this is the first cut of this image and I always felt that I might like it though it was shot through a very dirty window with flash...Technique, clean outer glass, put lens flat against window, fire away....turn jpeg into 16bit tiff, slight cropping, hit first with Medium DigitalVelvia, then decide for more, and hit with DV high through color chanels of course, then USM, 300, .4, 0, save for printing, decide for a little more contrast even after USM, add +19 Contrast, -2 Brightness, re-size for posting, then hit with a pass of over all sharpening (sharpen less in thumbsplus) because of the re-size}.

Thanks Sharon and Shu, there is a certain wistful sadness to the image...I also like the bicycle in the center of the picture...who did it belong to, why was it abandoned? Best Wishes, Traveller

Traveller, this is wonderful, truly chaotic and makes me sad on a lot of different levels. Mostly it reminds me of the demise of the hand-printing industry and how we have descended into a whole different kind of chaos. ~Sharon

This is nice! So many details with great color, composition, ("Order in chaos"--the place is in chaos, the composition is in order) and touches of light, make it very pleasing! I'm drawn to images like this. shu
