Selling Watermellon In The Upper Amazon * Traveller

Yes I ate some, but the seeds were remarkably large...as were the seeds humongus in the bananas.
Using the rectangular tool I tried to take all primary colors in the rather monochromatic image and turn it into super-realism. I'm not sure that it worked, but the effort was there.

Traveller, yup, I'm seeing what you did. Nice job pulling everything out of these two shots. I think this is still my favorite of the two but I'm wavering on that since they are both terrfic and filled with expression. Thanks for posting the original. -Michael

Dearest Michael: In neither of these two posted images did we have much to work with...that's why I was so pleased with how the way the color enhancements went so well. In Watermelon's 2, the dog and the lady in the left background were dug out and enhanced, as were all the foreground colors.

Here's the Original:

Traveller, in the challenge thread I asked that you "keep your hands off" this image until I got around to commenting. OK, it took me awhile, but here goes:

I don't understand your comment about using the rectangular tool and tweaking the colors. However, I don't really think I have to understand because, frankly, this image just blows me away. I love everything about it. The subject is appealing to me, the horizontal composition is well carried out, the colors of the main subject are vivid and alive. It's a stunning piece of work in my opinion. Kudos. -Michael

Thnk you traveller for posting this!....this is great! I really...really like this!!!! WOW! The colors are great....the forground and interest topics are all lively colors while the b/g is greyed out! The watermelon is pivotal! The interplay between the two ladies...this is a great capture..

Cheers,
:-D
