* Playing with available Light

Old Bethpage Restoration Village, New York

On a field trip with the school, I saw the light
on the rim and wanted to experiment to get a dark,
moody image. Got what I was after! :)

Canon EOS 10D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM

I have to agree - I like this one more than the monochrome. -Ed Hahn

I agree with Vikas, which is why I prefer this over the sepia-version... --Olaf.dk

Lovely shot Lonnit, the warm colours on the bucket really make it stand out. Cheers.

Thanks.

This was how I found it, so this is how I left it. Besides, it would have looked freaky if the wood wasn't there b/c the bucket would have looked as if it were floating above the surface, and that would have been more annoying. ;) ~ Lonnit

Lonnit,

This is really a great and simple image...the type I like a lot...you really captured the warmth and texture of the wood...I would however, have (if possible) pushed that little chock of wood a little further under the wooden container...It really is nice tho'...Great work.

The wooden thing looks as if it is glowing, very nice. And I like the repeating circular shapes. --Melanie
