Thanks both for your comments. Yes it is a windows-like lighting, it was taking in sort of an open garage while on a karate lesson. It is almost as it came out of the camera, with little postprocessing.

Beautifully done. I love his expression and like the composition very much as well.

Beautifully lighted. I think this is window light too, yes? There is an enigmatic look about the subject's eyes and his lips suggests the same. I really like the catchlight as well as the background. What I think can be improved is to not crop so close.
