5th place - All Mimsy Were the Borogoves - by Traveller

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

... and the moonrath outgabe? I recited it as a monologue back in college. I was a theatre major. 30 years? Damn! ~ Lonnit

Those TREEmendous tangleroots are amazement ?

Not sure what language we shall settle upon but this is great Trav? This could very well be a rare example of a Tumtum tree?... looks like it is about to digest those 'odd shaped rocks'... ! ;-)

Velly gud! ~ Regards Melbob

..and the mome raths outgrabe. The root system of those trees fascinated me as a child. I even made a pencil drawing of some, the earliest real drawing I remember - probably lost ages ago. Must have been a fantastic experience to visit that place :)

Actually, the first Angkor Wat was torn down by invaders, in it's place was built Angkor Tom (Great City), and Angkor Wat rebuilt a few Km away...this is outside of Angkor Tom's 10 Km square enclosing city walls, (as is Angkor Wat now), and forms the Temple complex at Ta Prohm Temple.

It is great to see, to be there in that spot, and both of us should count ourselves lucky to have seen this wonder of the world.
