Challenge 79: Eligible: Rule of Thirds (with Purple) and Exhibition: Calendar 2007 Images

Being a sometimes indecisive person, I’ve decided on a sort of combination of topics for Challenge 79, and totally different topics for the eligible and exhibition galleries.

For the Eligible gallery, the challenge is two-pronged: to take a picture following the compositional guideline ‘The Rule of Thirds’; AND to somehow incorporate the color purple. It can be a small amount of purple or a large amount of purple; it can be light, medium, or dark purple; it can be pastel or deep purple, but there must be purple present.

For the Exhibition gallery, I wanted to accommodate possible seasonal interests; and of course it is still open to pictures taken at any time and with any camera. The topic of the Exhibition gallery is ‘Calendar 2007 Images’. I’ve been thinking I might like to do a calendar this year, and that I should probably start putting it together soon. I thought maybe others might be thinking along the same lines; and I thought it might be fun to see what ideas people have for potential calendars. So what sort of pictures do you have (or will you take during the course of the challenge) that you think would work well in a calendar? Along with your entries, either within the title or the comments, indicate which month you think your image might represent (or if you think it is more of a Cover image).
